Welcome to Craigieburn Farm Alpacas

Nestled amid stone walls and forests of central Massachusetts, Craigieburn Farm Alpacas is aptly named. In Scotland, a craigieburn is a rocky woods.

We are a new alpaca farm, and full of the enthusiasm that change brings. The growth of our small herd has been careful and deliberate, starting with our first purchase in June 2002. In May of 2005 we were finally able to bring our animals up from Texas to our new farm. Thanks to expert guidance from experienced alpaca farmers like Amy and Arlen McCroskie, Rhonda and Kern Deschner, and Ian and Jennifer Lutz, we are developing a distinctive huacayan herd. With an awareness of the importance of diversity in genetics, our lines include Augusto, Royal Fawn, Hemmingway, Legacy, Poseidon and Mr. President. The objective of our breeding program is to produce superior color and fineness in fleeces by breeding females with color to herdsires with excellent genetics.

We are fortunate to be able to blend our love of animals and nature into our day-to-day life. Please visit us and share our enthusiasm.

We now have a farm store open from September - March, Sat/Sun 10 AM-2 PM.
